Cotton, Not Soft

I purchased the 4 pack since it was only about $5 more than the 2 pk in case I need a replacement. As others have stated, these are NOT SOFT. At all. But since they are pillow protectors and not covers, I of course will be putting a regular pillowcase over this. However, the cotton texture is a bit of a letdown as you think these will feel more satiny based on the photo appearance. I primarily purchased this product based on the size (my down pillows are 20x36x3 and these fit beautifully. Easy to put on and still have plenty of loft in my pillow. No "cramming" in at all. I also purchased based on cotton material and higher thread count. Hopefully with use, that will keep the feathers in. I did wash them before use. Like other reviews, they did indeed wrinkle (normal for cotton) but not as bad as I expected and were less soft after washing. Again, this is a pillow protector so I for this price point I would definitely recommend. My research suggested 100% cotton and the other luxury brand that I considered by Plumeria (not on Amazon) were $25 per piece and the same size as my pillow. I did purchase protectors once before on Amazon which were a bamboo blend and those have been just fine. Kind of hard to judge these too harshly since my face isn't on them. I just need them to keep feathers in and extend the life of my pillow by making it easier to wash "a layer". No krinkle noise either.
